Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to ensure the quality assurance of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client’s end by preparing test cases and performing testing activities.

Responsibilities

1. Understand the test requirements and design test cases for the product.
2. Develop test plans based on business requirements and testable requirements.
3. Implement Wipro’s testing approach using Model-Based Testing to generate efficient test cases.
4. Conduct peer reviews of test cases to minimize rework.
5. Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases, ensuring version control.
6. Set criteria, parameters, and scope of testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
7. Automate the test life cycle process using tools like VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation.
8. Design and execute the automation framework and generate comprehensive reports.
9. Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, designing test plans, and executing test cases.
10. Document and report test defects according to project/program/account standards.
11. Detect and report bugs, prepare defect reports, and track test progress.
12. Ensure timely delivery of work items within Wipro/Customer SLAs.
13. Design and release test status dashboards at the end of each test execution cycle.
14. Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace quality risks, and report them to stakeholders.
15. Regularly report the status to customers and maintain good communication through emails, fault report tracking, and voice calls.
16. Ensure on-time delivery of reports, updates, and responses to customer requests.
17. Interact with internal stakeholders, including the Lead Test Engineer and Project Manager, for regular reporting and updates.
18. Collaborate with software developers to coordinate work and provide testing solutions.
19. Interact with external stakeholders, such as clients, to provide appropriate solutions and support.
