Job Description

Job Title: QA Engineer 2

Common Accountabilities:

1. Autonomously work within established processes and procedures, making standard decisions and supporting the development of solutions for recurring complex problems.
2. Receive instruction, guidance, and direction from senior roles or managers, with regular monitoring of assignment status.
3. Possess specialized formal education or equivalent work experience, along with the required technical and functional skills and basic business knowledge.

Specific Accountabilities:

You will:

1. Implement test strategy
   • Define test cases based on customer requirements and ensure traceability with specifications.
   • Write test plans for functional, non-functional, and non-regression testing.
   • Enhance the non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.
2. Design and perform tests
   • Develop test cases and create automated test case scripts.
   • Set up test environments, prepare test data, and execute test cases.
   • Develop, execute, maintain, and improve automated regression tests.
   • Evaluate customer’s test campaigns and provide go/no-go decisions.
   • Assume responsibility for project, product, or release quality control.
3. Fix Problem Tracking Records
   • Provide developers with information to fix defects.
   • Verify the fixes for Problem Tracking Records (PTRs) and make go/no-go decisions for their production load.
   • Document software defects.
4. Share your knowledge
   • Participate in specification reviews to provide input on testing requirements.
   • Report and communicate test activities to the line organization, software developers, and product definition analysts.

About the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate should:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Possess strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, standards, and processes.
• Demonstrate the ability to create and execute comprehensive test cases that effectively cover system front end, back end, and integrated functionality, while ensuring adherence to business rules, stability, and performance requirements.
• Have firsthand experience in deriving and executing complex functional scenarios with effective tracking to requirements.
• Have hands-on experience with API testing on Service Oriented Architecture applications, using XML/JSON.
• Possess automation experience with Java, Selenium Web Driver, Jenkins, Maven, TestNG, IDE tools, and SOAP UI/Postman/REST Assured.
• Have extensive experience in analyzing backend logs of various application components.
• Exhibit effective communication skills and the ability to manage communication across teams.
• Possess good analytical skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Preferably have experience in the travel domain (not mandatory).
