Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in API and UI automation.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment. This role demands strong programming skills, deep testing knowledge, and CI/CD integration experience.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for API and UI layers.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams for quality-driven releases.
API Test Automation
- Develop and maintain automated API test suites using:
- Rest Assured
- Postman (Newman)
- Karate DSL
- SoapUI
- Validate REST & SOAP APIs for functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
- Integrate API automation into CI/CD pipelines.
UI Test Automation
- Build and maintain UI automation suites using:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright
- Cypress / WebDriverIO
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Develop scalable and maintainable UI automation frameworks.
Framework & CI/CD Integration
- Enhance automation frameworks with modular, reusable design.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD for continuous validation.
- Generate test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics.
Defect & Quality Management
- Identify, log, and track defects.
- Collaborate with developers for quick resolution.
- Promote a culture of shift-left testing and continuous quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in QA automation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language:
- Java
- Python
- JavaScript
- C#
- Strong understanding of:
- REST & SOAP services
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Version control systems (Git)
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum / Kanban).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
