🎯 Job Purpose

The selected candidate will work closely with one of Dataction’s esteemed international clients — a leading travel technology company in Israel processing millions of hotel booking requests daily.

This is a hands-on QA role requiring strong expertise in manual testing, API validation, and backend flow analysis. You will design and execute test cases, analyze system behavior, investigate defects, and ensure product quality before release.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive manual testing for complex backend and travel booking systems.
• Perform API testing for search, pricing, booking, and post-booking flows.
• Validate complex travel business logic including pricing rules, cancellations, and multi-vendor scenarios.
• Test multi-step backend flows (Search → Pricing → Booking → Post-Booking).
• Design, maintain, and execute detailed test cases for configurations and edge cases.
• Configure test environments simulating real-world travel scenarios.
• Investigate failures using backend logs, request/response payloads, and tracing tools.
• Document and track defects using tools like Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with development and product teams across SDLC.
• Promote continuous improvement and identify automation opportunities.

🔹 Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong hands-on experience in REST API testing (Postman).
• Experience validating complex JSON responses.
• Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and authentication.
• Strong SQL knowledge (SELECT, JOIN) for backend data validation.
• Experience reading Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Familiarity with backend logging tools and request tracing.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools like Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and other testing types.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC phases.
• Experience working in Agile and onsite-offshore models.
• Basic exposure to Selenium (preferred).
