Role Overview

EG is looking for a QA Tester (Manual) who will play an important role in ensuring the quality and reliability of healthcare software solutions used by clinicians and patients.

In this role, you will validate software functionality, usability, and compliance before it reaches real users. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to technology that directly impacts patient safety and healthcare efficiency, while working in a collaborative and innovative development environment.


Department Overview

You will be part of the Healthcare Business Unit within EG, working with a team of approximately 70 professionals based in Mangaluru. The team develops and maintains healthcare software solutions for customers across Denmark and Norway.

As a QA professional, you will collaborate with developers, product managers, clinicians, operations teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that every product release meets strict quality, security, and compliance standards required in the healthcare domain.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and define test plans.
  • Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to validate software functionality.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for functionality, usability, performance, and security.
  • Identify, analyze, and report software defects, and track them through resolution.
  • Monitor test coverage to ensure comprehensive validation of system components.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify that new changes do not impact existing features.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay updated on latest testing tools, technologies, and QA best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience as a QA Tester, Quality Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including Agile and Waterfall models.
  • Expertise in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with functional and non-functional testing, including usability, accessibility, performance, and security testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
