We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer (Manual) to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Electrum, you will:

1. Work with a passionate agile project team to ensure quality is integrated into the development process from requirements definition through to delivery.
2. Contribute to smooth and quality release by leading the integration of the components delivered from development teams and proactively bringing issues to the team’s attention.
3. Maintain company-defined and industry-standard best practices and document and maintain test cases and test results while preparing test reports.
4. Ensure all tests are executed and provide regular feedback to the team lead on quality status.
5. Work closely with the software engineering team, product management, technical operations, business users, and senior management as required.
6. Oversee the drafting of testing documents, troubleshoot quality issues/bugs, and work closely with the team to analyze the root cause.
7. Be a critical thinker who can quickly identify and test for functional edge cases outside of the expected workflow.

Prerequisites:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

1. At least 5 years of working experience in manual testing of web applications and a strong background in SDLC, QA processes, and agile development environments.
2. Experience in writing, executing, maintaining, and updating test cases and working with software development tools and defect tracking systems such as JIRA and POSTMAN.
3. Experience driving cross-teams for technical discussions on debugging and defect resolution.
4. Good experience in integration, functional, system, sanity, regression, acceptance, GUI, and usability testing.
5. Experience in API and database testing would be an added advantage, as would experience in implementing continuous integration and build tools.
6. Understanding of coding enterprise applications within PHP, Javascript, AngularJS, and other languages would be an added advantage.
