Job Summary
The UI/API Regression Test Engineer will be responsible for testing and automating Web GUI and REST API functionalities across the Mist Cloud platform to ensure high software quality for every release.
The role involves developing Python-based automation frameworks, performing regression testing, and collaborating with development teams to identify defects and improve product stability. You will also support test environment management, documentation, and regression test expansion to ensure consistent product quality.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Test and automate Web GUI and REST API functionality across the Mist Cloud platform
- Develop and maintain automation test suites using Python frameworks
- Perform smoke testing, production validation, and regression testing
- Analyze UI and API architecture to identify design improvements and testing gaps
- Log, track, and manage defects and enhancement requests
- Maintain and update test plans and regression suites
- Build and manage test environments for reliable automation execution
- Create clear technical documentation for QA and support teams
- Work with Customer Success teams to reproduce customer-reported issues and convert them into regression tests
- Manage multiple tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- BE / ME / MS in Computer Science or related discipline
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and pytest frameworks
- Experience testing Web applications and REST APIs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly communicate project status, risks, and blockers
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UI and API troubleshooting
- Ability to create detailed regression test cases
- Familiarity with Django REST APIs
- Basic knowledge of networking technologies
- Experience working in fast-paced and agile environments
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
