This role is based in an IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center (Delivery Center), providing deep technical and domain expertise to global public and private sector clients.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer – Functional, you will collaborate with IBM and client stakeholders to identify business controls, ensure successful implementation, and maintain high-quality standards across applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform software testing for Telecom/IoT applications (BGW IoT – Microservices and Databricks environment)
• Provide production support, particularly for reporting systems
• Analyze test specifications and convert them into manual and automated test cases
• Define test setup, input data, execution steps, and expected results
• Conduct sanity and functional testing based on business requirements
• Support defect tracking and resolution coordination

Required Technical & Professional Expertise

• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman and SOAP-UI
• Experience in ELT testing with Databricks and MySQL
• Strong knowledge of Test Management, Data Management, and Defect Management
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), and iTrack
• Solid understanding of Telecom domain and billing systems
• Experience handling production support and reporting systems
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes for validation and log/data analysis
• Ability to write and execute detailed manual test cases

Preferred Technical & Professional Experience

• Automation testing experience using TOSCA
• Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing
• Experience coordinating and managing testing activities across offshore/onshore teams
