📋 Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer (Senior QA Engineer) to join the Quality Engineering team in Pune in Johnson Controls.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in web and API testing, along with working knowledge of automation tools. Moderate automation expertise is expected. Exposure to IoT systems is an added advantage but not mandatory.

🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans and strategies
- Perform manual and semi-automated testing (UI, APIs, DB, connected systems)
- Collaborate with Developers, QA, and Product teams
- Design, execute, and document test cases
- Track and report defects through complete lifecycle
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Validate data flow and connectivity in distributed environments
- Participate in root cause analysis and quality improvements
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years in Software Testing / SDET roles
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies & defect lifecycle
- Working knowledge of Java, JUnit, TestNG
- Basic Selenium WebDriver experience
- API testing (Postman, RestAssured)
- SQL and relational database knowledge
- CI/CD exposure (GitHub, Jenkins)
- Understanding of cloud & on-prem infrastructure
⭐ Desirable (Good to Have)
- Exposure to IoT devices, sensors, embedded systems
- Knowledge of MQTT, CoAP, HTTP protocols
- Understanding of device-to-cloud communication & IoT security
- Experience with AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT
