Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain high-quality software, scripts, and tools
- Design, develop, test, and implement robust digital solutions
- Work within permanent teams responsible for the full software lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business analysts
- Deliver complex and business-critical software at pace
- Support continuous improvement of engineering capabilities
- Participate across the entire lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operations
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering and solution design
- Strong expertise in Java, Microservices, and AWS
- Experience working with development, testing, and bug-tracking tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience implementing programming best practices, including:
- Scalability
- Automation
- Virtualisation
- Performance optimisation
- High availability
