Role Overview
As a Test Engineer at Octave, you will contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical enterprise software solutions. You will be responsible for validating applications that support organizations across the asset lifecycle — Design, Build, Operate, and Protect.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality releases in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Design, develop, and execute functional, regression, integration, and system test cases.
- Validate application workflows, business logic, and data accuracy.
- Identify, log, and track defects with proper documentation.
Automation & Process Improvement
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
- Support continuous integration and automated testing practices.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and test coverage.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure timely validation before production releases.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain clear documentation of test cases, execution results, and defect reports.
- Prepare test summary reports and release validation documentation.
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in manual and/or automation testing.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
