About the Role
The Automotive Insights Team within the Global Mobility domain is seeking a passionate Associate QA Engineer to contribute to innovative product development initiatives.
In this role, you will deliver both automated and manual testing solutions while supporting operational excellence within an Agile Scrum team. You will collaborate closely with developers to design effective test strategies, execution plans, and automation frameworks aligned with defined quality standards.
This position is ideal for someone enthusiastic about automation and building scalable, maintainable test solutions using Java, Python, Selenium, and modern testing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive test strategies and plans based on business and technical requirements
- Develop and execute automated UI and API test suites
- Create maintainable feature scripts using Java, Python, and Selenium
- Build and enhance automation frameworks using Cucumber and TestNG
- Perform manual testing (functional, regression, smoke) when required
- Track and document defects using JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Analyze recurring issues and introduce automation to reduce regressions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across technical and business domains
- (Nice to Have) Apply domain understanding of the automotive industry to testing scenarios
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Java-based automation solutions
- 2+ years of Selenium WebDriver experience
- Experience testing modern web applications built using ReactJS and Angular
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline integrations
- Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data validation
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with JIRA and Azure DevOps
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- API testing experience with Postman, SOAP UI, or Advanced REST Client
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments
- Knowledge of automation best practices (reusable frameworks, stable locators, test data management)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
- Internship or 0–2 years of experience in manual and/or automation testing preferred
