Job Overview

Job Summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a detail-oriented Manager – Performance Testing responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation and performance test strategies to ensure high software quality and scalability.

The role involves close collaboration with Developers, Product Owners, Risk & Control teams, and Business Stakeholders, particularly aligned with ESG One and ESG Assessments initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

🧪 Testing & Automation

• Develop and execute functional, regression, API, and database validation tests.
• Design and maintain automation frameworks using:
  • Selenium WebDriver (Advanced)
  • Cucumber (Gherkin feature files)
  • Java / .NET
• Implement CI/CD integrated automation frameworks.
• Review test artefacts: traceability matrix, coverage, evidence, automation candidates.

Performance Engineering

• Prepare comprehensive Performance Test Plans.
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • LoadRunner
  • JMeter
  • NeoLoad
• Implement parameterization & correlation techniques.
• Capture performance metrics:
  • Response Time
  • Throughput
  • Error Rate
  • CPU/Memory Utilization
• Conduct performance test data setup and profiling.

Agile & DevOps Collaboration

• Work closely with POs and integration teams for E2E testing coverage.
• Integrate automation with Azure DevOps and version control systems (Git, SVN, CVS).
• Scale and enhance existing test packs.
• Drive automation adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with operational risk policies (CCIB CC framework).
• Escalate issues to Business Risk Forums (BRF), CRC, and NFRC committees as needed.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines including those prescribed by Reserve Bank of India.
• Support conduct principles and ethical standards across the bank.

Technical Skills

Primary Skills

• Selenium WebDriver (Advanced)
• Dynamic XPath strategies
• CI/CD integrated frameworks
• Performance testing & profiling tools
• SQL & database validation

Additional Expertise

• TestNG, Page Object Model (POM), Page Factory
• OpenShift
• Postman
• Test Harness development (J2SE / .NET)
• Knowledge of CoPilot tools for test case & data preparation
• Experience in Banking domain (preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Banking/Finance preferred)
• 2+ years of relevant banking or analytical experience
• Strong English communication skills
