Virtusa is Hiring for QA Automation Engineer | Software Testing Jobs

Virtusa, a leading IT services company, is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join their team in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in software testing and automation.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience
• 3 years of experience in developing test automation
• Proficiency in JavaScript WebDriver IO and Ruby
• Experience with industry standard testing/development and quality assurance methodologies and validation processes
• Proficient in Azure DevOps with defect tracking, document management, and knowledge base systems
• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Microsoft Test Plans, SQL Server, and various internet technologies
• Knowledge of ATDD & TDD
• Experience in building automation scripts using Cucumber
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, preferably in Java or Ruby

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automated test scripts for various software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and scripts
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and issues

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Ruby, Cucumber, and WebDriver IO
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
• Experience with industry standard databases like Oracle 10g, MS SQL Server, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Keyword, Modular, and data-driven frameworks
• Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or similar tools
• Certification in testing (e.g., CSTE, CQAA, ISTQB) and Agile methodologies (e.g., PSM, PSD, CSM)
• Familiarity with web development frameworks like MVC
