Role Purpose
The Test Engineer L3 is responsible for preparing comprehensive test cases and executing validation processes for products, platforms, or enterprise solutions deployed at client environments. The role ensures 100% adherence to quality assurance standards with a strong focus on automation using Python scripting.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis & Test Design
- Understand business and technical requirements to derive effective test scenarios
- Author structured test plans aligned with project objectives
- Apply Model-Based Testing methodologies for optimized test generation
- Define scope, parameters, entry/exit criteria, and participate in UAT
- Ensure peer review of test cases to minimize rework
Automation & Python Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python
- Automate test lifecycle processes including execution, validation, and reporting
- Design and enhance automation frameworks
- Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Improve test coverage and execution efficiency through scripting best practices
Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute manual and automated test cases across multiple environments
- Log defects with detailed replication steps and impact assessment
- Ensure compliance with project/account SLA norms
- Track defect lifecycle and provide regular status updates
- Generate end-of-cycle dashboards and execution reports for stakeholders
Governance & Customer Focus
- Deliver WSRs and execution reports on time
- Maintain accurate effort tracking in eCube, TMS, and related repositories
- Ensure professional communication with clients and stakeholders
- Troubleshoot queries within defined TAT timelines
- Maintain high CSAT and zero SLA deviations
