JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement automation processes to improve the technical edge of Airtel Digital Portfolio.
2. Manage end-to-end app deliverables, including requirement gathering, design, release process, and customer issue debugging.
3. Perform automated testing of mobile web and apps across Android, Windows, and IOS platforms.
4. Create test strategies for non-functional aspects of mobile apps and improve QA methodology and practices.
5. Demonstrate strong ownership of projects and mentor team members.
6. Collaborate with outsourced testing teams and ensure proper planning and execution of manual and automated tests.

Skills Required:

1. Experience designing automation frameworks using any language to target web services.
2. Expertise in object-oriented programming languages, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
3. Proficiency in test automation framework design and development, including tools such as Selenium, UI Automator, Appium, and Espresso.
4. Troubleshooting of app-related issues and knowledge of proxy tools like Charles and Fiddler.
5. Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems and experience in non-functional testing of mobile apps.
6. Exposure to DevOps and security testing is a plus.
7. Good knowledge of SQL or any NoSQL DBMS, such as MongoDB or AeroSpike.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience:

2+ years of hands-on experience in software development (based on level of hire).
