We’re looking for an automation engineer to join our team and take on responsibilities such as developing and maintaining our test automation tools, improving our CI/CD pipeline, and designing, developing, and maintaining our API and UI test frameworks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of automation engineering, work well independently, and have the ability to quickly grasp our existing code and architecture.

Job Requirements

1. The candidate should have a thorough understanding and experience with building orchestration on at least one of the major hyper-scaler cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
2. The candidate should be able to create and maintain test plans and test cases using Qtest.
3. The candidate should have the ability to develop and maintain Test Automation framework for Regression/Functional Testing.
4. The candidate should possess the ability to query and understand complex to simple SQL dB queries to verify data or make configuration changes.
5. The candidate should be capable of developing and maintaining Selenium test scripts using Pytest Framework.
6. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of API testing, both manual and automated.
7. The candidate should be able to build and execute API automated tests using automation frameworks such as SoapUI, Postman, or ReadyAPI.
8. The candidate should possess good knowledge of response errors or have the ability to identify and troubleshoot through Browser testing utilizing web tools.
9. The candidate should have knowledge of mature Agile process and operations ceremonies and willingness to be vocal in all ceremonies.
10. The candidate should be capable of investigating and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments.
11. The candidate should be an advocate for the QA process for all pieces of content released on our platforms.

Education

• The candidate should possess a B.E/B.Tech or M.S degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in Test Planning and designing Back-end API Testing for various Business/Technical Scenarios.
• The candidate should have practical experience of at least 5 years in executing Integration, System and Regression testing of API calls between Server & Client.
• The candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Python.
• The candidate should have the ability to work collaboratively within a team of engineers.
• The candidate should have a passion for learning the latest testing technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• The candidate should have experience with Cloud service APIs such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• The candidate should have hands-on experience in Container-based technologies, preferably Kubernetes & Dockers.
