Job Description:

Common Accountabilities:

• Work autonomously within defined processes and procedures, making standard decisions and supporting the development of solutions to complex problems.
• Receive instruction, guidance, and direction from more senior-level roles or managers, with regular monitoring of assignment status.
• Possess specialized formal education or equivalent work experience, along with required technical and functional skills and basic knowledge of the business.

Specific Accountabilities:

Test Strategy:

• Attend specification/architecture reviews and provide feedback on potential impact, risks, issues, or missed gaps.
• Define test strategy and plan containing functional and non-functional test cases, ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines, and quality standards.

Test Expertise:

• Design test cases and write test scripts.
• Prepare test environment, data, and execute test cases.
• Provide sign-off on tested features based on defined exit criteria.

Test Automation:

• Assess the necessity to automate test scripts.
• Use test automation framework and contribute to its improvement.

Defect Management:

• Open defects for software or documentation, assign relevant severity, and provide investigation details for defect resolution.
• Verify defect fixes and approve for production deployment.

Reporting:

• Communicate test activities to stakeholders, including line organization, developers, and analysts.
• Provide visibility on testing milestones to all stakeholders.

Quality Assurance Ambassador:

• Ensure project, product, or release quality control.

Technicity:

• Efficiently use QA tooling stack and frameworks.
• Proactively address issues that may affect QA peers.

Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in understanding, measuring, and reducing the environmental impact of tested applications and associated QA activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in QA engineering or related roles.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
