Amazon is actively seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Kindle Content Protection team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, aiming to enhance the security and integrity of Kindle content. This full-time position focuses on developing testing strategies and automating processes to ensure product quality.

Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer on the Kindle Content Protection team, you will be integral in collaborating with Software Development Engineers and other key stakeholders to understand feature implementations and develop comprehensive test plans. You will work across teams to adopt customer usage models and create test suites that mimic real-world usage, driving our software development towards quality-centric methodologies.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams throughout the development and testing lifecycle.
• Lead the creation of detailed test plans and test cases, and execute these across all functional and UI aspects of our products.
• Interpret testing results, and advocate for quality at every phase of development.
• Automate test cases for product features pre-deployment, focusing on UI, API, and Mobile automation using Java and various Amazon and open-source tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in manual testing and automation testing.
• Experience in UI and API automation testing using tools such as Selenium and SOAPUI.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional experience in API and Mobile testing.
• Proven ability to design and plan test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure effective coverage and control.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with Python or Java for automation.
• Experience in working with payment-related products and environments.
