Position: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Bangalore/India (Remote)

Job Summary:

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software test plans, executing test automation, and performing black box testing. You will play a vital role in ensuring quality within the web marketing scrum teams. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing automated tests for various digital marketing online conversion workflows and experiments, conducting functionality testing for performance, scalability, load, and regression.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Triage issue reports from internal and external stakeholders.
2. Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of test strategies to ensure product quality.
3. Develop and modify test cases based on user stories, incorporating both manual and automated test planning.
4. Analyze the CMS environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine appropriate test methodologies and cases.
5. Contribute to the base code of the current automation framework.
6. Participate in code peer reviews, design sessions, and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts to verify the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of marketing websites.
7. Analyze testing results and collaborate with the web development scrum team to identify ways to prevent future bugs and contribute to the technical integrity.
8. Actively participate in scrum ceremonies, lead smoke tests, and contribute to code deployment process improvements.
9. Collaborate closely with product owners to assess user stories and acceptance criteria.
10. Proactively expand knowledge of Agile software test methodologies and advancements, seeking out learning opportunities and internal mentors.
11. Modify and evaluate software test plans and test automation frameworks for complex applications, resolving issues in innovative and practical ways.
12. Provide recommendations to working groups to improve testing practices across the organization.
13. Assist in researching and implementing solutions to enhance previously created automated scripts and frameworks.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education. Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience.
2. Understanding of Agile test methodologies, Scrum QA process, and Agile project tools such as Jira.
3. Knowledge of testing product quality in software requirements, including features, system qualities (performance and security), product design, software design, estimates, source code, test plans, unit test harnesses, software and system performance data, software product information, and bug fixes.
4. Strong knowledge of web development standards and proficiency in Python, C#, Java, and Javascript.
5. Experience with Git, Teamcity, BrowserStack, and Selenium.

• Experience in multiple technologies: Windows, Mac, multiple web browsers, Android, iOS devices.
