Job Description:

As a Test Engineer in the Performance & Emissions (P&E) department, you will be responsible for conducting tests on engines and vehicle systems to ensure compliance with both current and future emission norms, while maximizing the efficiency and utilization of test cells.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure over 85% utilization of P&E test cells to achieve project deliverables aligned with emission standards.
• Manage data from test results effectively, ensuring accuracy and compliance with national standards.
• Reduce engine startup times by at least 20% to increase overall efficiency in testing operations.
• Maintain rigorous safety standards and housekeeping practices in the test environment.
• Adhere to all pre-requisite test conditions as per the engine pre-requisite sheet.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Electrical Engineering.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, particularly in commercial vehicles.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle dynamics and engine systems.
• Familiarity with emission testing procedures and regulations.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with NABL compliance procedures.
• Advanced certifications related to automotive engineering or emissions testing.
