Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive manual testing. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to identify issues, validate functionality, and help deliver an outstanding user experience.

The position focuses on manual testing, test case creation, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes across the product lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Design

  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements and specifications.

Manual Testing

  • Execute manual test cases to validate functionality, usability, and performance of web and mobile applications across different platforms and devices.

Defect Tracking & Reporting

  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Linear, providing clear steps for reproduction.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, provide testing feedback, and verify fixes.

Regression Testing

  • Conduct regression testing to ensure new updates do not impact existing functionality.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Assist in preparing UAT scenarios and support end-users during testing phases.

Test Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation including test cases, execution results, and defect reports.

Quality Advocacy

  • Promote quality best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, exploratory testing)
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla
  • Basic understanding of software development processes

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience testing web or mobile applications
  • Basic exposure to automation or scripting tools such as Selenium or Postman (optional)
  • Knowledge of SQL for database testing
