Role and Responsibilities
As a member of IBM Security QA Team, you will work on test automation, end-to-end system testing, and regression to support IBM Security Platform designed to help security teams respond to cyber-threats confidently, automate with intelligence, and collaborate with consistency. The platform captures and codifies established incident response processes into dynamic playbooks, empowering teams to resolve security threats. It accelerates and orchestrates response by automating actions with intelligence and integrating with other security tools. It also enables teams to visualize and prioritize security incidents to take action.
You are expected to have expertise in testing multi-tiered web applications and QA Processes, experience in agile testing, fluency in one or more programming languages (Java and/or Python), and foundational knowledge of cloud technologies like Kubernetes.

Responsibilities
- Design test strategies, plans, and cases for functional testing of our web application
- Provide technical leadership throughout the development process, including reviewing acceptance criteria, test cases, and automation code, setting up environments, and communicating with the project team on defects, issues, and QA status
- Develop, implement, and debug automated test scripts
- Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to prioritize testing efforts that align with corporate strategies
- Maintain current test cases and develop new ones as needed
Required Technical and Professional Expertise Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in testing web applications.
- Experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of software testing strategies, specifically in relation to web applications.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum development process and Agile tools, such as Jira.
- Scripting proficiency in Java/Groovy or Python.
- Proficiency in Unix-like operating systems.
Additional Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with SAML, 2-factor authentication, LDAP, Active Directory, BPM, and Workflows
- Comprehensive proficiency in test automation platforms including Selenium and Cypress
- Experience with testing web services using tools like POSTMAN
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
