Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering or related field or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably in testing multi-tiered applications.
• At least 2 years of experience in Scala or Java.
• At least 1 year of experience on Linux/UNIX environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in testing backend applications built on RestAPIs.
• At least 2 years of experience using SQL.
• At least 1 year of experience in analyzing large volumes of data to prepare test data.
• Experience in reviewing test plans.
• Clear understanding of standard software QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical and domain knowledge.
• High attention to detail and strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to train and mentor junior QA team members.
• Proficient in using Jira/Confluence.
• Practice Agile principles.

Preferred:

• Experience in testing applications deployed in the cloud (AWS).
• Ability to build, maintain, and update automated test scripts based on the test cases.
• Experience in the Capital Markets domain/market surveillance systems.
• Experience in designing and writing test automation scripts using Java/Python/JavaScript coding language.
• Experience using FIX protocol.
• Realtime system experience.
• Integration testing with upstream/downstream systems.
• Experience working with external market teams like Quant house/Vela.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Agile Team to test software developed for Capital Markets Equities Products.
• Utilize business requirements and knowledge of software testing lifecycles to guide the testing of complex software products or customer solutions.
• Contribute technical expertise and talent development as a QA Analyst.
• Work as a part of a Scrum team utilizing Continuous Integration and Behavior Driven Development and adopting DevOps practices.
• Study requirement specifications and raise clarifications to business analysts and customers.
• Build, maintain, and update test scenarios and test cases based on the requirement specifications.
• Understand business logics written in Scala and identify test scenarios/edge cases.
• Report results of automated and manual tests.
• Troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts.
• Report issues and anomalies in the system in the issue tracking system.
• Communicate any unforeseen issues that are affecting their work to leads on time.
• Provide daily and weekly status updates to leads and managers.
• Act as a lead for the other QA team members.
• Create and build test plans, estimates, and improvements to the test process.
• Review QA project artifacts including Test scenarios, Test Scripts, Defect reports, and Status reports.
• Research new QA tools methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.
