💼 Role Purpose
The AQ Engineer will ensure compliance with Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) norms while validating live video streaming systems. The role involves detailed testing of encoding/decoding quality, latency, resilience, compatibility, and certification readiness.
🔎 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional, performance, and security testing of live streaming and CCTV systems.
- Ensure compliance with STQC guidelines for government-grade deployments.
- Validate end-to-end workflows: capture → encoding → transmission → playback.
- Test latency, frame rate consistency, resolution standards, and night vision capabilities.
- Ensure compatibility with:
- Codecs: H.264, H.265
- Protocols: RTSP, RTMP, ONVIF
- Develop automated scripts for regression and stress testing.
- Collaborate with development, network, and security teams.
- Conduct compliance and certification testing.
- Generate quality reports, defect logs, and root cause analysis documentation.
🎯 Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Mandatory STQC certification or experience with STQC standards.
- 3–6 years of QA experience in CCTV / live streaming environments.
- Strong knowledge of video streaming protocols and CCTV technologies.
- Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, VLC, ONVIF Device Manager, IP video testers.
- Experience with NVR/DVR systems and video analytics platforms.
- Scripting skills (Python/Shell) preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in video surveillance.
- Experience with cloud video platforms (AWS Kinesis Video, Azure Media Services).
- Exposure to AI-based video analytics and real-time alert systems.
