💼 Role Description
As a Software Tester, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications. You will work closely with development teams to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure the product meets business and user requirements.
🔎 Key Responsibilities
- Analyse software requirements and create test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
- Perform manual testing to detect bugs and usability issues.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Document and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to verify fixes and improvements.
- Participate in review meetings and provide quality feedback.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 0–4 years of experience in software testing (Freshers eligible).
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC concepts.
- Experience in manual testing and test case creation.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL (preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
⭐ Good to Have
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
