💼 Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our remote offshore development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, publishing, and implementing test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full software lifecycle.
You will design and maintain automation frameworks, execute comprehensive testing strategies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA practices, procedures, and test plans
- Design and maintain automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts, and data sets
- Ensure adherence to change management processes and track updates via management software
- Define testing scope and objectives across all QA levels
- Perform functional, regression, load, system, and UAT testing
- Manage assigned testing projects from IT Quality Testing through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identify and resolve critical defects in collaboration with development teams
- Create effective manual and automated test plans using diverse toolsets
- Perform black box testing where required
- Provide resource planning and resolve issues impacting test efforts
🎓 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (QA certification preferred)
- 2+ years of software testing experience
- Prior experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or similar role
- Strong collaboration skills with business analysts, developers, and end users
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, and Cucumber
- Experience with SQL for creating and validating data sets
- Hands-on experience with automated testing and defect tracking tools (e.g., Rational Test Manager/Robot/Requisite Pro or similar)
- Experience creating automation scripts
- API testing experience using Postman
- Experience in Telemetry Testing
- Understanding of Rational Unified Process (RUP) and SDLC practices

- Previous experience in E-commerce projects
- Experience working with Shopify platform (strong plus)
- Strong understanding of testing protocols and methodologies
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
