About the Role
Capgemini is looking for an experienced Senior Performance Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in JMeter and solid knowledge of LoadRunner.
This role focuses on designing and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies, identifying system bottlenecks, and ensuring applications meet scalability, stability, and reliability benchmarks. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to optimize enterprise-grade systems.
What You Will Do
Performance Test Design & Execution
Design, plan, and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter
Develop and maintain LoadRunner scripts (HTTP/HTTPS, Web, API protocols)
Create workload models aligned with real-world business scenarios
Analyze performance test results and provide tuning recommendations
Monitoring & Diagnostics
Use Dynatrace / AppDynamics to monitor application performance
Identify CPU, memory, thread, and database bottlenecks
Perform root cause analysis and provide actionable insights
Collaborate with teams to resolve performance issues
Database & Engineering Support
Write and optimize SQL Server queries
Validate database performance under load
Support performance engineering best practices
Contribute to CI/CD integration of performance scripts
Collaboration & Delivery
Work within Agile teams across sprint cycles
Participate in requirement discussions and architecture reviews
Maintain performance regression suites
Ensure performance benchmarks are met before production release
Technical Skills Required
Core Expertise
Strong hands-on expertise in JMeter (scripting, correlation, parameterization, assertions)
Experience with LoadRunner
Performance testing methodologies & workload modelling
Dynatrace / AppDynamics monitoring tools
SQL Server query writing and optimization
Additional Skills (Preferred)
Basic knowledge of Java or .NET
Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to cloud environments
Strong analytical and communication skills
