Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester – Web Technologies to join our Software Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of web-based software applications by ensuring high standards of quality through structured manual testing practices.
You will apply analytical and scientific testing methods to identify defects, validate functionality, and improve system performance. The role requires strong collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
- Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects using standard defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers to understand root causes and validate fixes.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
- Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices and quality standards.
- Organize and manage assigned tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
- Contribute positively to team performance and project delivery timelines.
Grade-Specific Expectations
- More than 1 year of relevant work experience in manual testing.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of programming concepts and software design principles (basic level).
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while delivering reliable results.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and solving moderately complex problems.
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet mid-term project goals.
- Demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making based on practical understanding.
