Job Summary
The Test Engineer Intern will assist in preparing and executing test cases and performing manual testing on web and mobile applications. The role involves identifying and tracking software defects and supporting functional testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Interns will collaborate with the QA and development teams to verify bug fixes, maintain testing documentation, and follow established testing standards and processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and executing test cases based on requirements
- Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications
- Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools
- Support functional testing, regression testing, and UAT activities
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to verify bug fixes
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and test artifacts
- Follow established software testing standards and best practices
Skills & Requirements
- Freshers or recently graduated in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts and SDLC/STLC
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques
- Basic knowledge of SQL or programming will be an advantage
- Basic understanding of automation tools such as Selenium is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
