About the Role
ServiceChannel is looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of its software products. In this role, you will work closely with Agile development teams to analyze requirements, design test cases, execute test plans, and report defects effectively.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality software through thorough manual testing and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Requirement Analysis & Test Planning
- Review functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Ensure coverage for functional, UI, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.
2. Test Execution & Defect Management
- Execute manual test cases across web and mobile environments.
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify hidden issues and edge cases.
- Log and track defects with detailed information including:
- Reproduction steps
- Expected vs. actual results
- Severity and priority
- Screenshots or logs
3. Retesting & Regression Testing
- Verify bug fixes by performing retesting.
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure product stability after updates.
4. Collaboration & Reporting
- Participate in Agile activities such as:
- Sprint planning
- Backlog grooming
- Daily stand-ups
- Retrospectives
- Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on test progress, defect trends, and potential risks.
5. Quality & Process Improvement
- Promote best QA practices across teams.
- Continuously improve testing processes and workflows.
- Stay updated with the latest testing tools and industry practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications

| Experience | Minimum 3 years in manual software testing |
| Test Design | Strong experience creating test cases, scenarios, and regression suites |
| Tools | Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail or similar test management tools |
| Technical Knowledge | Basic SQL, databases, browser developer tools |
| API Tools | Familiarity with tools like Postman |
| Testing Methods | Black-box, boundary value, smoke, sanity, usability testing |
| Core Skills | Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail |
| Communication | Clear written and verbal communication skills |
| Work Style | Ability to work effectively in Agile environments |
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API testing using Postman
- Exposure to SaaS, B2B, or field service platforms
- Understanding of modern web applications and integrations
