Role Overview
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of web-based applications through structured manual testing processes. You will design and execute test cases, identify defects, validate data, and collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed and well-structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute manual testing during development and release cycles.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Perform regression testing after defect fixes.
- Conduct ad-hoc testing across product features.
- Validate application data using SQL queries when required.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers in Agile teams.
- Ensure software quality standards before production deployment.
- Gain exposure to automation testing processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Manual Testing and Black Box Testing.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Experience with web application testing.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of defect lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar bug tracking tools.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to automation testing tools.
- Knowledge of AI tools or LLM-based systems (added advantage).
- Experience in Contact Center domain projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Manual Testing / Black Box Testing.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
