Key Responsibilities
- Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings to understand project expectations.
- Assist in converting business and technical requirements into test cases, scenarios, and scripts.
- Assess the testability of requirements based on business requirement documents, user stories, and design specifications.
- Help with the setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing.
- Execute testing sessions according to defined test protocols and methodologies and evaluate results.
- Utilize automation testing suites to validate features and identify potential edge cases.
- Document test outcomes, assign appropriate severity levels to defects, and record system responses.
- Conduct initial defect analysis and root cause investigations, escalating issues when required.
- Maintain accurate testing data and analysis records.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports summarizing testing metrics for management review.
- Support maintenance of automation scripts and generate reports for efficient bug tracking.
- Perform testing and analysis to confirm that software or hardware meets quality standards and user expectations.
- Suggest improvements to strengthen engineering, implementation, and service strategies.
- Monitor testing performance metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior quality engineers to improve testing tools, techniques, and coverage.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)
- Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
- Certified Test Engineer (CTE)
Work Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in software or system quality assurance and testing.
