Role Overview

As a Junior Test Analyst, you will support software testing activities by reviewing requirements, preparing test cases, executing different testing types, and managing defects. You will collaborate with technology and business teams to ensure systems meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and business expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review business and functional requirements to understand testing scope.
  • Design and maintain test cases and test scripts aligned with requirements.
  • Assist in preparing test plans, testing environments, and schedules.
  • Execute system testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
  • Retest fixes after defects are resolved.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings with development teams.
  • Maintain test documentation and audit-ready evidence.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users.
  • Validate reports, control outputs, and regulatory updates during testing.

Required Skills

  • 2–5 years of experience in Software Testing or QA.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience executing functional, system, and regression testing.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Zephyr.
  • Knowledge of defect lifecycle management.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into test scenarios.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in data validation and report verification.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in Financial Services or Banking domain.
  • Exposure to Global Markets or trading systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and control testing requirements.
  • Experience supporting UAT cycles and release processes.
