Job Description: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at MRI Software

MRI Software is seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate software quality by designing and implementing effective software testing processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring code quality through the execution of exploratory and manual test scripts. Your tasks will include bug hunting, issue identification, reporting, and resolution.

Job Description: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at MRI Software

MRI Software is seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate software quality by designing and implementing effective software testing processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring code quality through the execution of exploratory and manual test scripts. Your tasks will include bug hunting, issue identification, reporting, and resolution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies and techniques used in Blackbox testing, such as equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and decision tables.
• Familiarity with automation framework design techniques like Page Object Design and Page Factory.
• Proficient in OOPs principles.
• Prior experience working with existing automation frameworks developed using Selenium.
• Familiarity with languages like Java and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with API/Microservices Testing using tools like Postman and Swagger.
• Understanding of Load/Performance testing using tools like JMeter or other AI-based solutions.
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience working with related tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (Azure/AWS).
• Thorough understanding of Regression testing using automation.
• Creation and maintenance of automated test scripts within existing frameworks.
• Development of automated test suites and driving test execution for Regression testing.
• Providing estimation for automation-related work.
• Analyzing feature tickets and writing manual test scripts using Jira Test Management.
• Handling multiple project testing assignments.
• Utilizing Postman for API testing.
• Defining the testing scope for Regression testing and monthly releases.
• Creating and maintaining necessary test-related documents, if required.
• Active participation in Scrum ceremonies.
• Involvement in performance and security testing of products, as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer specializing in Manual Testing.
• Hands-on experience in Automation Testing (Selenium & Java) is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of database testing.
• Fundamental understanding of Test Management and Test Strategy design.
• Basic understanding of API Test Automation using Rest Assured or Postman.
• Previous experience working in Agile-driven projects.
• Familiarity with Jira.
