Qualification Requirements:

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline OR Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in manual & automation testing
• Experience with Java/Python/Scala development.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux
• Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, HBase, Elastic Search stack (Advantageous)

Responsibilities:

• Champion the assessment of Data Science Solution deliverables across various real-time services for products across PayPal, Venmo, Braintree, and other areas
• Perform Big Data applications testing and API testing
• Ensure proper test strategy, planning, and flawless execution to mitigate risks and deliver engaging experiences for customers
• Gatekeep releases and ensure quality for solution engineering deliveries
• Collaborate with developers and data scientists on complex analytics applications
• Design and execute test plans for testing system back-end components to ensure product quality and coverage
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python, Java, & Scala
• Simulate end-to-end scenarios using various platforms & technologies
• Report on test progress and bugs found
• Share knowledge with other team members within the organization

Required Skills:

• Team player with a passion for learning new areas
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytics, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Experience with Java/Python/Scala development

• Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, HBase, Elastic Search stack (Advantageous)

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with automation testing
• Familiarity with risk management principles
• Previous experience in a similar role within the technology industry
