Job Description:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer-3 position at Semtech Corporation involves being part of the Solutions QA team and driving the design and execution of IoT end-to-end customer use cases. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans, executing end-to-end customer test scenarios, automating tests for multiple product solutions, identifying issues, debugging software products, collaborating with development/field engineers, analyzing test results, and contributing to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design test plans based on customers’ requirements and related deployment use cases
• Execute end-to-end customer test scenarios and automate them for multiple product solutions
• Identify issues with the product, report through defect tickets, and publish Test Results and metrics in test management tool
• Debug software products using systematic tests to maintain quality standards
• Collaborate with development/field engineers by reproducing issues in the lab and supporting issue resolution
• Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and identify new automation scope/test areas
• Participate in continuous improvement of test strategies/practices based on root cause analysis/test escape analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Computers Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting
• Hands-on experience in automation tools like Robot framework, JMeter, Selenium/Java, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub actions
• Good understanding of various networking devices/technologies (switches, routers, firewalls)
• Good understanding of Virtualization, Containerization, Kubernetes, and Cloud Technologies
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Passionate about software quality and software testing
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good team player

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role or industry
• Additional certifications related to software testing or quality assurance
