Role Overview

As a Software Tester in the Donor Information System (DIS) within Takeda’s Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) division, you will ensure high-quality product delivery through structured testing across device-integrated healthcare workflows.

You will collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to validate system behavior, detect defects, and ensure compliance with functional and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Collaboration & Agile Participation

  • Work under guidance of senior QA while independently handling testing tasks.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and device engineering teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Raise risks and quality concerns early during development cycles.

Test Strategy & Execution

  • Derive detailed test scenarios and test cases from requirements.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, API, and negative testing.
  • Support test planning, entry/exit criteria, and release readiness activities.
  • Track quality metrics such as defect trends and test coverage.

AI-Assisted & Data-Driven Testing

  • Use AI-based testing tools to auto-generate or optimize test cases.
  • Analyze device data, logs, and datasets to identify anomalies and validate workflows.
  • Apply data-driven testing techniques to increase test coverage.

Automation & Tools

  • Contribute to automation frameworks using Selenium, Tosca, or JUnit.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts.
  • Perform API testing using Postman.
  • Use tools such as WireMock, Docker, TestContainers for service virtualization.
  • Analyze logs using ELK, Splunk, or Grafana dashboards.

Performance & Security Testing

  • Support performance testing using JMeter (preferred).
  • Perform API validations, schema checks, and error-handling tests.
  • Assist with basic security testing aligned with OWASP guidelines.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain test cases, scripts, datasets, and execution logs.
  • Document results for audit and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide status updates and risk reporting to QA leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • Integration Testing
    • API Testing
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • JIRA
    • Tosca
    • Postman
    • Jenkins
  • Ability to write SQL queries for backend validation.
  • Experience with Git version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of AI-assisted testing techniques.
  • Ability to analyze system logs and device-generated data.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with JMeter for performance testing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices in QA pipelines.
  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks like Appium or Sauce Labs.
  • Familiarity with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP.
  • Experience in healthcare software, regulated environments, SaMD, or GxP systems.
