UBS, a leading global wealth manager, is on the lookout for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join their team in Pune, India. This pivotal role involves spearheading automated testing initiatives across all levels of the technology stack, contributing to the firm’s agile transformation. Responsibilities:

• Champion automated testing across all parts of the technology stack and all stages of the software development life cycle and articulate the benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design and implement test automation frameworks across all parts of the technology stack.
• Progress the team’s ‘shift left’ practices.
• Mentor and coach manual test and software engineers to ensure test automation vision becomes a reality, with demonstrable benefits to throughput and quality.
• Combine the mindset of a tester with both the desire and ability to put those tests into code for full automation, while being willing to perform a degree of manual, particularly exploratory, testing.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Java, Unix, SQL servers, cloud experience, and/or React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience of functional, performance, and exploratory testing.
• Strong experience of manual and automated testing.
• Strong experience of unit, integration, and end-to-end functional testing.
• Experience of white-box and black-box functional testing & implementing test automation frameworks.
• Experience using web testing frameworks e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• Experience developing and maintaining regression and automation suites using BDD & TDD frameworks.
• Experience owning test management and reporting processes to support continuous delivery.
