Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by creating and executing automated tests. You will work closely with the development team to understand product requirements and ensure that they are met in the engineering implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements and ensure engineering implementation covers all of them.
• Ensure release deadlines are met at 100% on time with high-quality objectives and P1 defects are not introduced by the release.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools (Selenium with Java/Python).
• Improve and extend test frameworks and automated test sets.
• Deep focus on building automation framework for all product features & APIs and ensuring every test case is automated.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Desired Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar ones.
• Solid experience in object-oriented design principles and automated testing strategies for Web, API and Mobile (Android and iOS).
• Good working knowledge of SQL Queries.
• Experience with build tools such as Jenkins, Maven, etc.
• Experience in CI/CD.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, reusable code using design patterns.
• Proficiency in writing thorough tests that cover edge cases with appropriate ROI for velocity and quality.
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Jasmine, Mocha, etc.
• Hands-on experience with writing automation code using Java/Python.
• Hands-on experience of Automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, etc.
• Experience working within an Agile development process (Scrum/Kanban), CI, and TDD.
• Experience in cross-browser testing and parallel execution.
• Hands-on experience of API testing using SOAP UI, Postman, Rest Assured, or HTTP client.
• Should have a good understanding of Github.
• Experience with test case management tools, such as Jira with AIO.
• Experience creating and maintaining Automation frameworks preferred.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technical environments, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
