As an Automation Test Engineer at HSBC, your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and implementing test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other testing related documentation based on the requirements and technical specifications.
2. Interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards.
3. Demonstrating a good knowledge of automation tools.
4. Planning, developing, executing, maintaining and improving Automated Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for Web and Database applications.
5. Demonstrating experience in writing automated test scripts using JavaScript and using automation tools such as Selenium web driver IO (WDIO) / Cucumber.
6. Having experience in Web UI testing and knowledge of JIRA.
7. Accurately reporting and tracking testing related defects and issues by writing effective and thorough bug reports and verifying bug fixes.
8. Coordinating UAT and other testing related tasks with Business and other IT departments.
9. Identifying process and application issues and providing suggestions to improve.
10. Identifying and deploying automation solutions based on changing project needs.
11. Having strong test execution experience and identifying and collating test entry and exit criteria.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Having experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies.
2. Having good experience of executing defined test plans including coordination, tracking and reporting.
3. Having good exposure of software/product test approaches.
4. Having stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
5. Having experience of testing tools.
6. Being a positive team player working as part of a large programme.
7. Reviewing test cases/QA for coverage and traceability to requirements/design.
8. Liaising with business areas/technical leads re SIT/OAT/UAT scenario definitions as required.
9. Analysing design and other documents for testability.
10. Managing workload and scheduling tasks.
11. Preparing and executing tests: Business liaison, Participating in defect triage and review meetings, Agile basics including ceremonies, Kanban.
12. Having previous experience within Identity and Access Management and any exposure to SailPoint IdentityIQ.
13. Having a skill set for the Automation Test Engineer (API, Automation, Testing)- Javascript/PHP/Java, API, Selenium, QMetry, Test Rail, BDD/TDD.
