Join our team focused on developing, implementing, enhancing, and supporting commercial, open source, and in-house tools for Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (CP&P) scientists. As a Test/Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for testing Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modeling and computation platforms, as well as physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) tools and platforms.

Team:

• The team is responsible for developing, implementing, enhancing, and supporting commercial, open source, and in-house tools used by scientists in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (CP&P).
• The team focuses on technical deliverables of the various tools/applications used within Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP).
• The team collaborates with cross-functional IT teams and external vendors.

Role:

• The Test/Validation Engineer is responsible for testing Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modeling and computation platforms, and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) tools and platforms.
• The Engineer will work as a part of the team responsible for the overall technical deliverables of the various tools/applications used within QSP.
• The Engineer will work with cross-functional IT teams and external vendors.
• The Engineer will work on testing efforts for changes and releases within release schedules and assist with new product evaluations.
• The Engineer will perform IQ/OQ/ST for scientific applications and tools, following BMS ITQM/ITQA policies and procedures.
• The Engineer will develop test plans and documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts.
• The Engineer will collect, analyze, and summarize test results.

Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience with validation testing of scientific software for QSP, including software running on high-performance clusters on AWS.
• 3-5 years’ experience testing applications and simulation tools such as MATLAB (including Base-MATLAB, Simulink, and Simbiology toolboxes), Mathematica, Simcyp, MATLAB Parallel Server.
• 1 year of testing experience with in-memory columnar database such kdb+, Q, Q APIs, Julia, and C++.
• 2-3 years of experience working in a Linux environment.
• Well-versed with testing frameworks such as ALM, TOSCA, WorkSoft.
• Experience developing and executing test plans and scripts and creating detailed and summary reports.
• Expertise with creating all aspects of validation/test documentation (e.g., Functional and Technical Requirements, Trace Matrix, Test Plan, Test Scripts, Test Detail and Summary Reports, etc.).
• Strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail.
