Job Description
The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will join a team that is modernizing technology in banking. The team is responsible for the wholesale platform renewal and product evolution with a focus on digitalization. The role will involve designing and developing automated tests, contributing to technology solutions that will solve business problems, and sharing quality and process knowledge with the team. The position also requires participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, mentoring and assisting team members, and handling manual testing when needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated tests
- Contribute to technology solutions to solve business problems
- Share quality and process knowledge with the team
- Participate in the evolution and extension of the Testing Automation Framework
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Participate in project planning, estimating, and processing improvements in an Agile environment
- Mentor and assist team members
- Handle manual testing when needed
Required Skills
- Experienced Senior QA Automation personal with proficiency in programming languages such as Java (Kotlin nice to have)
- Good knowledge of test driven development approaches such as BDD to support continuous delivery
- Proficient in Cucumber and Gherkin language
- Experience in Kafka will be beneficial
- Analyze, design, and build automated test cases based on acceptance criteria captured in user stories
- Collaborate with development teams to develop quality products
- Act as a lynchpin for product quality activities during development & releases such as identifying bugs and coordinating remediation
- Continuously improve the CI/CD toolchain and services
- Research issues in software with remediation geared towards designing & developing test automation scripts
- Contribution to the platform architecture and product solution design
- A flexible, resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Selenium WebDriver (Page Object pattern, selectors, waits, timeouts, FindElement, FindElements, some minimal knowledge of JavaScript to use it together with WebDriver)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
