Job Description
As a Sr. Software Engineer in Test (Sr. SET) at CME Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading applications. You will be the subject matter expert within the project team, responsible for making our applications more testable and developing software to support testing efforts.
One thing that makes this role unique is your ability to interface efficiently with all of the support groups, other QA groups, and dev groups in working independently with minimal oversight. You exhibit quick learning abilities in picking up and mastering new concepts, whether they are business, technical, or process oriented.
Principal Accountabilities
- Your principal accountabilities include assisting the Manager and Lead in identifying automation opportunities and testability challenges with the application, identifying project risks, and implementing process changes and efficiencies.
- You will also develop and implement designs for automated testing frameworks and develop software for the testing framework.
- You will interface and communicate with internal teams and external support groups and ensure team members are complying with the SDLC process.

Skills & Software Requirements
- To excel in this role, you should have at least 4+ years of experience in core Java technology and multi-threading.
- Strong SQL experience, preferably in Oracle.
- You should also have experience with Tibco RV/MQ messaging, ATDD frameworks like FIT/Fitness and Cucumber, and messaging protocols like FIX.
