The Role:

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Amazon Fire OS team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring world-class quality in our software platform. Your focus will be on enhancing the current user experience and enabling exciting new features for the future. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality improvement, skilled in test automation for both regression and new functionalities. Your responsibilities will involve understanding customer needs, diving deep into software development, and developing effective QA approaches to assess product confidence. Collaboration with development teams, test automation engineers, and other QA teams will be essential in continuously improving our software development process.

Role Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess outstanding technical abilities that can significantly enhance product quality. We expect you to have a combination of the following skills and knowledge:

• Profound understanding of Quality Assurance Concepts
• Excellent grasp of operating system software and object-oriented design principles
• Familiarity with 802.11 standards
• 1+ years of experience in wireless testing (WIFI, BT, or Cellular)
• In-depth knowledge of the OSI model’s layers
• Knowledge of web and server programming, TCPIP and socket programming, and test automation framework design and development
• Research and design new methodologies and techniques, including utilizing cutting-edge Machine Learning and Deep Learning methods for testing purposes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in both manual testing and automated testing
• 1+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field
• 1+ years of experience in automation development and testing using Python, with experience in automating test cases for embedded software.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, OOP, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in working in a UNIX/Linux environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field
• Knowledge of wireless connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee
• Familiarity with all layers of the OSI model, TCP/IP, and socket programming
• Experience with industry-standard test automation tools and developing product test harnesses.
• Experience with Android, iOS, or other mobile application development or testing
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C, and C++
• Familiarity with open-source tools and resources
• Experience collaborating closely with development and business teams.
