Role Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to design, prepare, and execute test cases for products/platforms to be deployed at the client end, ensuring 100% compliance with quality assurance standards and SLA commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Design
- Understand business and test requirements.
- Author detailed test plans and test cases.
- Implement model-based testing as per Wipro standards.
- Define scope, parameters, and UAT involvement.
- Ensure peer reviews and minimize rework.
Test Execution & Automation
- Develop and execute automation frameworks.
- Automate test lifecycle stages using VB macros, scheduling tools, and GUI automation.
- Set up test environments and execute validation scenarios.
- Log, track, and report defects with clear replication steps.
- Prepare dashboards and status reports after each test cycle.
Reporting & Customer Focus
- Provide regular status updates, WSRs, and execution reports.
- Maintain accurate effort tracking in project tools (eCube, TMS, etc.).
- Ensure SLA adherence and zero rejection/slippage.
- Maintain strong communication etiquette with stakeholders and customers.
