The Test Engineer – Data QE will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability across large-scale Hadoop ecosystems. The role involves validating ETL/ELT workflows, performing data profiling, and implementing automated data quality checks using Python and Spark technologies.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated data quality validation frameworks
- Perform data profiling & anomaly detection in Hadoop environments (HDFS, Hive, HBase)
- Validate source-to-target data mappings using SQL/HiveQL
- Test batch & streaming data pipelines built on Spark and Hadoop
- Conduct regression testing after schema or code changes
- Monitor production jobs and ensure SLA compliance
- Identify data defects and perform root cause analysis
- Document data quality rules and validation results
