π Role Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for understanding the complete testing lifecycle, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to both manual and automation testing efforts. The role involves 50% Testing and 50% Programming & Automation responsibilities.
π Key Responsibilities
π§ͺ Testing (50%)
- Maintain and configure test environments
- Author and execute manual & automated test cases
- Develop and prioritize testing activities
- Review and approve defect reports
- Design usability testing scenarios
- Recreate bugs and restore test environments
- Create and review test designs, processes, and data
π€ Programming & Automation (50%)
- Participate in automation framework enhancements
- Develop and maintain automation scripts
- Improve automation tool knowledge and scripting skills
- Prioritize test coverage based on risk and impact
π Required Skills & Background
- Degree/Diploma in Computer-related field
- 2+ years in QA or Automation role
- Knowledge of at least one mainstream programming language
- Familiarity with scripting languages
- Experience with Git and Jira (or similar tools)
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL & SQL queries
- API Testing experience
- Understanding of web server configuration
- Strong troubleshooting & documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively
