Job Overview
Join the Engineering team at Spectro Cloud and play a key role in shaping the future of the Palette platform — an always-on, self-healing, declarative Kubernetes management solution.
As a Software Engineer in Test, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable test frameworks and automation strategies to ensure platform reliability across cloud-native, data center, and edge environments. This role requires strong Kubernetes expertise and a passion for building quality at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests for distributed platform capabilities
- Build scalable test frameworks and validation infrastructure
- Create API and UI automation using modern testing tools
- Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles
- Test cloud-native applications using containers and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate testing early
- Contribute to testing strategy and process improvements
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in Linux environments
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test code
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing
- Experience writing automated tests for APIs and/or UI
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming language
- Comfortable working in Linux-based systems
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of BDD and testing best practices
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to Have
- Experience with Robot Framework, Ginkgo, Pytest, Cucumber, or similar tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing
- Experience testing distributed cloud-native systems
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA or CKAD)
