🌟 Job Overview
As a Member of Technical Staff – Test Developer, you will qualify features and automate test cases for Nutanix Move, a solution that enables migration of virtual machines across hypervisors and public clouds such as AWS and Azure.
This role requires strong system-level testing expertise, deep architectural understanding, and the ability to design comprehensive test strategies that validate scalability, performance, and reliability of distributed systems.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Understand feature requirements and architecture design
- Design high-level test strategies and detailed test plans
- Develop and enhance Python-based automation frameworks (API & UI)
- Deploy and configure test environments
- Execute automated and manual test cases
- Develop and execute performance and scale test plans
- Debug failures and identify root causes with development teams
- Reproduce customer issues and assist with triage/workarounds
- Own medium-scale projects independently (planning, automation, reporting)
- Identify regression coverage for bug fixes
🛠️ Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of automation development experience
- Strong experience in Python API test framework development
- Experience testing systems products (file systems, storage, databases, OS, hypervisors, networking)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
- Strong test plan design and complex test case development skills
- Experience debugging and extending automation tests
- Knowledge of Linux, Docker, AWS, Azure
- Experience testing distributed, scalable systems
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, build tools
- Basic understanding of HTTP/S, JSON, JavaScript
